The Mann family came to Washington in 1951. Soon after Jim Mann was hired at Ballews welding from 1955 to 1972 in Tacoma Washington as a hitch technician. Soon after management realized Jims work ethic, skills and inventive imagination.

Within a couple of years he managed the business. He moved to Seattle in 1973 and opened his own hitch and fabrications shop. The business quickly became successful. William went to work for his father in 1982 as a hitch technician and welder. William and his two brothers managed the business for their father until 1992 when William decided to start his own business. In 1992 William opened his store in Bellevue serving the eastside.
